Trinity Buoy Wharf Wedding Photographer

Where do I start with this venue?! It’s an effortlessly cool London warehouse space on the river opposite the O2 in the heart of docklands. And it’s got it’s own lighthouse. It’s undoubtedly one of my favourite London weddings venues as it really has everything in one space for a great wedding and after party. As a Trinity Buoy Wharf wedding photographer, there are so many things that make this the perfect wedding venue for photography. It’s location on the Thames in Docklands gives it an urban feel, as it’s surrounded by towering skyscrapers as well as shipping containers which house a local arty, business community. The views down the Thames are stunning and in my opinion it comes into it’s own at night as the lights of Canary Wharf, the O2 and also the cable car over the river dance on the river and light up the night sky. The riverside terrace is the perfect setting for a summer wedding ceremony and drinks and nibbles. Take a look at Romy and Tom’s wedding as an example of how to use the terrace to great effect – especially the mini crazy golf course and Airstreamer!

Away from the river, the surrounding buildings and shipping containers place it firmly in an urban environment and make a great backdrop for couple portraits. I love the straight lines and layers of the buildings which can make for some very cool creative compositions. And I also have to mention the lighthouse, which is a stunning spot for a few shots with it’s amazing windows and light high above the river. Take a look at some of the shots in the lighthouse of Cat and Jeavon in this blog post.

And there’s more! I haven’t even mentioned the Chainstore yet, which is the main warehouse space, used for ceremonies, weddings breakfasts and dancing. It’s a light and airy space that can accommodate up to 300 seated guests and is a blank canvas so can be decorated in every way imaginable, although it’s such a cool space it doesn’t need much as it speaks for itself.

You can probably tell that I’ve really enjoyed being a Trinity Buoy Wharf wedding photographer, so drop me a line if you’re planning your wedding there.
