I headed out to Italy in June to shoot Marissa & Carlos’s wedding at Villa Dievole in Tuscany and was also lucky enough to fit in this Florence engagement shoot with Giorgia and Filippo a couple of days before. If you’ve ever been to Florence you don’t need reminding that it’s a living gallery with world famous architecture, art and sculptures everywhere you look. But at the height of summer it’s also packed with tourists which makes finding locations for an engagement shoot a little more challenging. Giorgia and Filippo live in Florence so their local knowledge meant we could explore parts of the city that I would never have found on my own, so I got my very own tour of the back streets of Florence while shooting the session. We did end up on the Ponte Vecchio at sunset, but it would have been rude not to! It’s one of those famous sights that tourists flock to. I’m so grateful for the time Giorgia and Filippo spent showing me around Florence, and also for being such a fun couple to shoot. They recently married in Filippo’s parents’ country home just outside Florence and huge congratulations are in order!
