Fearless Photographers award

Every two months members of Fearless Photographers are invited to submit images to be judged for a Fearless Award. For anyone who doesn’t know Fearless Photographers describes itself as ‘a directory of more than 2,500 of the world’s boldest wedding photographers for couples who truly love photography’. I’ve only been a member for a couple of months but have been blown away by some of the talent in there. It’s been an eye-opening experience to look through the work of wedding photographers from all over the world. Styles vary hugely from highly dramatic, stylised portraits to understated and superbly observed reportage and I’m usually very humbled by how exceptional the work is.

Over 12,000 images were submitted to December 2013’s collection, so I’m as pleased as punch that this getting ready shot is one of 280 images that received an award. Check out all of the award winning images here, there’s some seriously good stuff there.
